Gnome

Gnomes are a small race of Fey originally native to the Feywild. Although in the early days of the Feywild, they inhabited dwellings built into and under hills, the expanding influence of the Fomorians caused them to flee these hills. Upon hearing Eladrin tales of the beautiful rugged, forested hills of Tavanion, many gnomes chose to the leave the Feywild for Tol . Since they relied on the eladrin for transportation, many gnomes ended up serving them in Tavanion. The stereotype of the wily gnome playing gentle pranks on his wise, eladrin masters features in many tales of both gnomes and eladrin.

In the last 100 years or so, the gnomes have been chafing at their role as the footmen and valets of the eladrin race. Many have left Tavanion for the wilder lands of Faerinwold, where the Elves treat them more as equals. Gnomes are slowly becoming a race to be reckoned with in the dealings of Aldorath.
