Mana Lima

Mana Lima is a Hag who is the leader of the Grand Coven of Hags. She is a witch of legendary skills and extremely powerful, as well as extraordinarily malevolent. If you’ve ever read a faerie tale about a witch, that story is probably rooted in some kernel of truth about Mana Lima. Gingerbread house? Grew out of stories where she ran a sweet shop. Eating children? Oh, yes, whenever possible. Inventor of the concept of the coven of three? Absolutely her.

Although she is terribly vile, she can be dealt with civilly. Those who treat her with respect (but not flattery) can plead their cases to her, bargaining for power and boons. It’s said that she treated Adala Tarmoore like her adopted daughter and was broken hearted when Adala left to learn Demon magic. It's believed that Odetta Brambleberry apprenticed with her and learned both magic and the skill to trap souls in bottles, but that the price was her eyes, which Mana Lima still wears on a necklace.

She is known to be vindictive and cruel, and she never forgets a slight. She may forgive an insult, but it will cost a price that she herself isn’t willing to risk, and the cost is often far beyond what anyone might wish to pay.
