Odetta Brambleberry

Odetta Brambleberry is the Granmere of the Brambleberry Halfling clan. According to local rumor, she’s nearly 200 years old, a foresworn Vistani, and something of a witch as well! She’s blind, toothless, and lives in a boat that’s marooned in a tree in Darkmoss Bayou, the deepest and darkest of bayous in Dalenshire. Her “house” and the tree it’s stuck in are festooned with bottles of many different colors that catch and refract light. It’s said that each one contains a soul that she’s collected and that she can speak with them, gaining great power and information from them.

It's known that she spent some time in the Feywild some time in the past. Some believe that she apprenticed with the Hag Queen Mana Lima, who taught her the soul bottling trick.

She’s also very jealous and protective of her family, especially her great, great grand niece, Henna.

For some time, she held the bottle containing the spirit of Limba, the Kumaat that had tormented halflings for years. Eventually, however, she was overcome by Dame Rigel ap Balorann who bottled her spirit and took it, as well as Limba, back to the Feywild as bait for the Fire Wasps. After Dame Rigel was slain, Limba was returned, and Odetta restored, she gave her blessing for Tilly Thistleshanks to marry Henna.
