Rakshasa (ruck-SHAH-sah)

Rakshasas are a type of fiend native to Hell, but not directly related to the Devils that make up that realm's majority population. They are famous for a resistance to magic and an ability to shapeshift. Often, they spend years developing a guise as a mortal of influence, using that position to drag numerous mortals into their schemes, only to destroy them and devour their fear and despair...and them as well. Their base forms are a combination of humanoid and tiger, with the odd feature that their hands are linked backwards to where a human's would be.
They often seek to pinpoint a single person whose downfall can drag many others with them. To this end, the Chosen of the Gods often attract their attention.
