The Temple of Elemental Evil is center of worship for the forbidden cult of the
Elder Elemental Eye in the
Elemental Chaos. Its whereabouts are largely unknown to common folk, but the wise say that it lays in the
Stormwrack Isles, making it difficult to get to without magic.
The Temple has been razed several times by various forces, but it always seems to rise again. Most recently, it was the center where
Kaldakos Greysails enacted the ritual to raise the
Tarrasque on
Tol. Although he was slain by the
Fire Wasps shortly thereafter, this act of devotion revealed that the Elder Elemental Eye was, in reality, the chained god
Tharizdun. It is hard to say what the future might hold for the Temple, now that its secret has been revealed.
