Theldenen

Theldenens are a variety of golden maple found exclusively in the forest of Neldorin. These beautiful deciduous trees have thick golden leaves for three seasons of the year. They bud in spring as a pale greenish yellow, become a bright gold in summer, and slowly fade to a sort of burnished golden-bronze in fall. The trees sheds its leaves in the fall and remains bare and dark in winter.
The golden sap is harvested from the trees in the fall and made into several products, including Sunlight, an alcoholic beverage much prized by the Elves, and Golden Syrup, a thick, rich, sweet syrup that Halflings delight in cooking with.
