Wizard

Those who study magic often look down on those who spontaneously develop their powers, or those who make a pact for power. They have learned magic fastidiously, studying at a university, or at the feet of a discerning master. Syllables and gestures become lethal weapons to them, and they can rework the very fabric of reality. These studious Wizards can control the elements, and they’re a valued part of any adventuring company they join.
Young wizards first learn small tricks to make their jobs easier…to clean rooms, to light candles, to improve food, and more. They record their instructors’ lessons in their spellbooks, and their ability to review these books and relearn these lessons over again give them tremendous flexibility. They use wands, staffs, orbs, and tomes to channel tremendous arcane powers.
The more civilized races tend to have wizards amongst them. Summerlings, Eladrin, Gnomes, and Hobgoblins are more commonly wizards than many other races.
