Gin
God of Love, in Love.
The Fey Monarch
It is uncertain what their true appearance is, but depictions lean on a magnanimous, androgynous humanoid. Their face is soft and round, their skin is featureless, and they have short, smooth black hair. They're shown wearing a robe which gives the impression of wings when their arms are outstretched. Additionally, they are entirely monochrome, aside from a fluffy pearlescent scarf around their neck. In reality if they are ever encountered, they appear and act as any present individual's ideal form in a companion or mate, and it is entirely uncertain if they are or are not actually Gin.
These and all other traits are mirrored between their created godly twin, Cino't, though they are never presented or shown as being and acting together. Some theologians suggest that even Gin themself lost track of who was who in the moment Cino't was created, and even more so that this was intentional. Others suggest that Cino't does not even exist as accounting for the whereabouts of such a fickle god is near impossible, and that the idea was merely a trick played by Gin on the gods. Vadik is likely the only being to have existed which ever knew for certain.
Gin has constantly meddled in the affairs of god and mortal alike since before the dawn of time, to an end which nobody can understand. It is difficult to pin much of anything on them, aside from; the creation of the Fey, granting the gifts of magic and desire to those of life, and leading a war against the other gods during a prior age in a celestial act of betrayal. Gin's followers claim they're an ample supplier of divine intervention, though not many outside of their group lend such claims much credibility.
Worshipping Gin
Their favor is not simply based on whether or not an individual regards Gin. They find their interest is captured by anyone who provides the world at large, and thus them, with a compelling enough curiosity. Gin is in an unyielding pursuit of oddities and narratives that are so strong, they would attract even nobody's attention. By recognizing and acting upon these facts, Gin's clergy can receive the divine's attention and grace. These blessings can be beneficial or detrimental to the petitioner and it is largely understood that Gin acts to make the narrative of life more compelling, above better or worse. Yet mortals are flawed, and the similarly neutral priest is rare. Most of the faithful divide themselves into two major sects. Dedicated either to Tragedy, or Comedy. The prior bringing struggle and sorrow unto the world, with the later delivering aid and merriment. Referring to themselves as 'Empyrean Thespians', 'Iniquitous Jesters', or simply Actors, others meanwhile refer to them derisively as 'The Pidgeon's' fools or stooges. Gin's clerics know and appreciate their capricious nature, wherein Gin gives them richer and more compelling lives. Many, who may not even be casual followers, might refer to Gin whenever something goes particularly well or poorly with the tacit belief Gin has just interfered to alter their story. Understandably, those who revere Gin tend to be looked down upon in strict and orderly settings, due to the unpredictable boons and banes they are known to deliver. While they may identify as Tragic or Comedic actors, it's often enough that the two may impersonate one another. Scorn for is especially present among those who still have animosity towards Gin for their betrayal. Additionally, it is not unheard that someone will blame Gin for everything bad which happens in their life. A fair thought, considering Gin is not necessarily more or less benevolent or malevolent. Churches and congregations dedicated to Gin are far and few between due to all this. Gin may grant their miracles to anyone, and it is clear how Gin prefers the twists and turns of a personal journey rather than prayers and rituals. Yet they do exist, since as established Gin may grant their miracles to anyone. A god especially can understand and appreciate that adventures can take many shapes, and how compelling a story of spiritual growth can be. While Gin is largely inconsistent, their most prominent followers swear up and down that musical accompaniment is the absolute best way to increase your chances of garnering attention.Divine Goals & Aspirations
Gin wishes for the planarverse to provide as compelling a setting as possible, to garner Nobody's attention. They have little to no reservations about how to achieve this.
