History
The ancient vampire known as Dana Redqwir is a higher vampire that lived millennia and outlasted various kingdoms and empires. The oldest record of her presence is from the
War of the Ancients, an instance during which she befriended the
Elf later known as Nesiven the goddess of blood and wine, she is sought to be partially responsible of the blood dominion of the goddess.
As a higher vampire, she possesses extensive control over blood and death of mortal creatures, an ability that always intrigued the vampire, the spark of her life-long quest for the
Book of Vile Darkness. It is during her quest that she heard about
Tezzeret Thuzad, a fine wizard expert in
Necromancy that managed to be brought back from the dead as a lich, something that was only said to be possible thanks to the dark secret among the book of vile darkness.
Her investigation of the cult revealed they were not in the possession of the book, however, their study of the dark arts led to them uncovering many secrets of necromancy. Something that intrigued the vampire, who started her own research on this school of
Magic and joined the cult under the disguise of a simple cultist.
During her centuries of research, Tezzeret died and his phylactery was destroyed, revealing the ultimate weakness of lich to the vampire, then the
Great Extinction changed the face of Toriel. Dana was now a rare survivor, among the undead of the cult who, thanks to their nature were not even scratched by the magical apocalypse.
An expert necromancer, she was soon promoted to lead the cult, her vampiric abilities only boosting her wizardly skills. Dana recognized the value of the cult of the damned, an asset in her quest for the book of vile darkness, and reorganized the cult, forcing them into hiding and study as long as the
Draco-Giant War was raging.
The cult only resurfaced after the end of the war, they were to disguise and infiltrate the soon-to-grow realms and look for the vile book all over the world. The cultist revering her, pleased to serve this purpose, and lured by the promise of the ability to transcend death beyond undeath thanks to the artifact.
The higher vampire, now answering the name of Dana Redqwir, hides among the elves as an acolyte of Nesiven, an homage to the elf she liked so much.
