History
Marilith, as a half-drow has to deal with discrimination from other elves, her long white hair and darker skin a clear sign of her origins. This is how she become a prisoner in the jails of
Megima, under a false pretext of illegal border crossing, she was caught and arrested.
But for once, luck is on the her side as she is among a group of people who have the opportunity to be free in exchange for service to the soldiers -o qwir. With her new companions,
Creyola Nepomuk,
Faust von Verurteilung,
Galad Ithil,
Jade, and
Orianna they did several small jobs for the soldiers, investigating a problem with a local smith, chasing a thief in the market who was revealed to be a
Changeling, and ultimately killing bandits taking a toll on travelers trying to reach the small village of crow's perch.
This last job granted the adventurers the title of butcher of
Crow Perch, and a first encounter with someone plaiding for the cause of the elven rebels. Meanwhile returning to the soldiers' barrack was always a bad moment for Marilith, as she had to endure the way the local soldiers eyed her. One even dared to assault her one night.
Marilith and he companions' story quickly intertwined with the rebels, and they had to make a choice, stay with the soldiers waiting for a freedom that may never come. Marilith was quick to support the rebels given the hatred she could feel from the soldiers.
Now siding with the rebels in a grand battle opposing the soldiers and the rebels, the adventurers were believed to be dead as they had escaped the battleground with the rebels. And they now helped the rebels find a new headquarters in the wood of the vales.
Marilith with her companions ventured into those woods and talked with the dryads, learning of a set of ruins that could be used by the rebels if they cleared it. Clearing those ruins, Marilith found a grove of ancient lore in the form of the ruins' old library, partially saved from the damage of water and
Time.
The rebels' plane necessitated reworking an existing portal to the feywild, linking it to the elemental plane of fire, and so Marilith and her companions were sent to the feywild to learn how to redirect the portal. After a series of events, they met with
Aledia Firetwist, the
Summer Court Archfey, and had to make a deal with her to learn that precious information. Ultimately, Marilith agreed to give her firstborn child to the archfey in exchange for that information.
Back from the feywild, Marilith had more time to read while the elves reworked the portal, their plan to achieve the
Elven Rebellion advancing thanks to the adventurers' help. Marilith, through studies, learned a lot about the elves, their history, and those portals, and helped the rebels redirect the portal to the elemental plane of fire.
Now into the burning desert of the plane of fire, she and her companion faced a corrupted
Phoenix, they learned that this corruption was caused by the rebels as they planned to use the phoenix's power to burn the entirety of
Tana's Empire, hoping a new elven kingdom would rise from the ashes.
They managed to restore the balance in the plane of fire, and came back to the material plane to confront the rebels. this started a fight in which Marilith, alongside Orianna, was teleported away while the portal broke, creating a rift and causing disaster in Tana's empire.
Alongside Orianna, Marilith realized they were on the
Giant Island, and met a friendly
Stone Giant who agreed to teach them the secret of
Giant power to preserve the balance of the world. Marilith gained knowledge of ancient spells, and using what she studied on the elven portal, she was able to teleport Orianna and herself back to their home.
United with her companions again, they all marched the
Kingdom -o Qwir to stop the elven rebellion as the leaders were attacking Megima directly and aiming to kill the queen. The adventurers arrived quickly and faced the rebels' leader in an epic fight, Marilith met her demise in this fight, giving her life to save a kingdom that often despised her for her origins.
As a memorial to her sacrifice, a statue of the wizard was erected in the local branch of the
Academy of magic: the
Conjuration School
