Vari Abalhan

Vari Abalhan is one of the leader of the Elven Rebels with his half sister Valia Abalhan. He is also a half-elf half-genie (and is therefore considered a fire genasi).

Characteristics

Physical features

The curvaceous young man turns on you so quickly that his flamy hair whirl through the air between you, his eyes burning with ill temper. Raising his left hand, red flames erupt. The cowled cloak he wears has slipped from his head, revealing pointed ears somewhat shorter than a full-blooded elf. Clearly this man has a vested interest in defending himself against threats and slights, perceived and real alike.

Mental traits

Vari as the typical fiery personality you might expect from a fire genasi, quick to anger, he's just as quick to laugh and drink, but his dislike of newcomers in the rebellion makes him someone that many still fear.

History

Vari is the illegitimate child f an efreeti and an elf, not that he remembers much from this union, he spent his childhood in the planes of fire, as a street kid, growing into those harsh conditions, his body quickly evolved to embrace the fire within him, his fiery ability growing stronger as he aged.   Even as a kid, he hated the society he had to live in, this place of corruption, where money was the only king, where he couldn't even know his father, and where he could barely see his mother, maybe due to his fiery nature, but he wished to see this world burning, to see everything turn to ashes.   A dream he never got to realize, as his mother finally freed herself from the embrace of the Efreeti, taking her new son with her as she was coming back to her homeland, t the place where the elves delved. Brought to this new land, he was quickly reminded that some things never change, here, money is king in exactly the same way. But, in this mess of a kingdom, he met what was his half-sister.   Vari was, a lot more aggressive on his position, but to their core, they shared a similar idea, this kingdom of the elves was not one in which their people could be happy, in which their mother could smile again. And, Vari joined the Elven Rebels too, leading alongside his sister.

New members

Evandor Siannodel, one of the rebels, praised a group of adventurers who spared him when they caught him in an act of thievery. The adventurers met Valia and Vari, who extended an offer to join them. Accepting the offer would release them from their contract with the guards but brand them as wanted criminals. The decision is wrested from their hands when a clash erupts between the Soldiers of the Qwir and the elven rebels.   The adventurers, witnessing the curelty of the soldiers of the qwir align themselves with the rebels and escape. Presumed dead in the conflict, the six adventurers find refuge with the rebels. Although they evade being wanted criminals, the rebels suffer significant losses and task the adventurers with a critical mission. They are to seek the assistance of the Sister of the Vale, dryads who may provide refuge for the elves in their protected forest: the Wood of the Vale.   Shortly after the main force of the elven rebels joins the adventurers in the Wood of the Vale, establishing a camp in the ruins that they begin to clean and transform into a suitable home.

Feywild

Valia, with her brother Vari, devise a plan to repurpose the portal found in their new home. Rather than linking it to the Feywild, they aim to connect it to other planes, drawing power from these planes to support their rebellion. The adventurers are called upon for assistance. Their new mission is to journey to the Feywild, seeking the counsel of the Archfey of the Summer Court. These powerful beings are likely to possess the knowledge of the secrets behind these portals and how to manipulate them.   Meanwhile, the operation led by Ethan Bluefeather and Trillium was successful, and the Archdruid of the Circle of Wildfire, Fandral Staghelm is now back among the rebels.   Valia and Vari share their plans with fandral and reveal to him the failed corruption of the phoenix, which will be the adventurers' next task if they manage to come back from the feywild. Vari and Fandral do not trust the adventurers to carry out such an important mission, especially Creyola Nepomuk who Vari dislike. But Valia vouchs for them, as they are useful pawns, and their actions so far have greatly improved the rebels' lives.

Fire and wood

The adventurers come back from the feywild with information about the portal. After some time to redirect the portal, the adventurers are finally sent to the Elemental Plane of Fire, and Valia, alongside Fandral and Vari prepare the assault of Tana's Empire's empire once the phoenix's power is within their grasp. However, the adventurers, missing Nep return sooner than expected, and confront the trio of leaders about the corruption of the phoenix, as they unveil the truth.   Their plan discovered, Vari gives the adventurers a choice: either join the rebels in their destructive quest or stand against them and face their wrath. The adventures refuse to side with the rebels, leading to a confrontation. Evandor, Lea Brownwood and Trillium side with the adventurers.   Vari, amidst complaints that Nep is not among the adventurers anymore, launches an assault on Orianna, Galad Ithil, and Jade.   As the battle takes a turn for the worse, Valia, in a desperate act, attacks the portal, triggering a magical explosion that teleports everyone in its vicinity across worlds and planes.

The roots of all problems

Because of Valia's action, a rift between the elemental plane of fire and the material plane was created. Tana's empire army swiftly mobilized, gathering soldiers from the Kingdom of Vale, the Duchy of Freed, and the Kingdom of Qwir. The united forces marched towards the Wood of the Vale, as magicians pinpointed the source of the problem in that location.   However, Valia, Vari, Fandral, and many other rebels were teleported away by the incident and gathered back in the Elven Forest. As soldiers from all over the empire gathered around the wood of the vale, Valia saw an opportunity to overtake Manael Soliadon Tana and seize the Kingdom -o Qwir.   The rebels have launched an attack on Megima with the intent to seize the throne and control over the Kingdom -o Qwir.   The elves, supported by the rebels, initiated an assault on the city, burning it in their attempt to breach the castle. Valia, alongside Vari and Fandral reaches the throne room, in which they confront the queen for her actions, both as the queen of elves, but also as the previous empress of the this oppressing empire. Queen Manael attempts to persuade them she only seeks the good of elves but Vari drive refuses to hear word from the queen and drives his flaming sword through her as the adventurers reach the throne room.   The room erupts into chaos as a fierce battle ensues between the six heroes and the rebel leaders. Vari engages Nep and Orianna with a sinister grin, finally getting the chance to confront the Tiefling and her best friend. Vari eventually dies like the other leaders by the hands of Nep.
