Arthur Everdragon is an old serious-looking kobold with long hair and a beard, both of a dirty-white color. He is an intelligent person and a very good worker who doesn't let much go unnoticed. His attention to detail, his insight, his benevolence and his diligence make him an incomparable butler/house keeper. He also hides, most of the time, a great sense of humor and always enjoys a well-timed moment of irony. He is an extremely protective person, both to the people he cares about and to his workplace.

Personal history

Arthur was never your typical Kobold. He was born in a ''kobold farm'' owned by ogres, who would feed the little draconic creatures to make them grow, for the purpose of eventually eating them. Arthur rapidly showed signs of extreme intellect and was, after 2 years of finding ways to get out of becoming a soup, able to manipulate an ogre into letting him go.
Along his journey toward the neighboring town, he met a party of mages who were sharing a meal in the wild. While being well aware of the dangers of walking up toward these strangers, Arthur's insatiable hunger spoke louder than his logic as he went and met them. Luckily for him, the group appeared to be very benevolent toward the young kobold and he was offered a warm meal. During that evening, the mages and scholars, who were fervent riddle-makers who had been testing each others with strings of complex riddles for the last decade, decided to entertain themselves by putting their enigmas to the test with their guest. Arthur, who had apparently led a rough life far from any form of formal education, successfully nailed all but one of the riddles. The mages, clearly impressed by this display of pure intellect, decided to keep him in their party. Arthur accepted to one condition, he wanted to never be told the answer to the riddle. This is something that he would find along the way.
The years passed and, under the tutelage of his new friends, Arthur Everdragon rapidly became a very talented wizard. His party went on more and more missions, discovering far away lands and saving countless people. The growing kobold was living the life of an adventurer and was enjoying most of it. But one part of him hated one aspect of his new job: the killing. Removing the capacity to live of a creature, even if it was supposedly for the greater good, was never a concept that sat right with him. He felt like, ever since he was born, his entire life had been walked on a trail of blood and bones. He always failed to see how what he and his party were doing was better than what the ogres did to his kin.
Eventually, his party tried to go against a powerful necromancer, one of unequaled power, who was ravaging the eastern countries. This is the day he saw his whole party get slaughtered. His old mentors, a few moments before passing, ordered him to flee, but he couldn't accept to leave his only family behind. Running into the battlefield, tears in his eyes, he attacked the necromancer with all the rage of a man about to lose everything. Before he could do anything, he felt a flash of light and was transported miles away from the battle. His last gift from his mentors, his friends, his family.
On that day, Arthur vowed to renounce his arcane powers and to lead a simple life free of violence. This is when he became a butler for Antòn Cartierville, a renowned architect, currently living in Athkatla.
Over the years, it became clear that Antòn was progressively getting himself into more and more shady business, as his love of gold was taking over its principles. Eventually, Antòn got himself killed by close partners of the Moon Queen of Athkatla Liliana Vess . He later ended up working for the Golden Company as their head butler, in charge of over 25 employees.

Arthur Everdragon has learned most of what he knows on the field with a team of mages and scholars.

Employment

Arthur is currently employed by the Golden Company to take care of their Castle of the Eclipse.
