Port Nyanzaru is a port in northern Chult that was an Amnian colony until at least 1479 after the Great War, but gained its independence sometime in the late 1480s. It is the major trading center for all of Chult

Modifications to the actual lore include:
1480s after the Great War:

Due to the War of the Eclipse, Port Nyanzaru became a hotspot to obtain large amounts slaves, a trade which was previously forbidden in the port. Whoever controls the port is assured to obtain a steady flow of slaves from many of the southern tribes. This choice from the leaders of the city has led to many countries cutting commercial and political ties with the ''City of Slaves''.

1489 after the Great War:

Monarctronics starts its WAAM project, and spends a considerable amount of (tax-deductible) gold trying to get slaves outside of Port Nyanzaru and back into their jungles.

1493 after the Great War:

Some strange creatures have started appearing in the nearby jungles. Never seen before on the continent, no one has yet found an explanation regarding their nature or appearance. A scientific from Port Nyanzaru called Dr. Dine O'Saurus has claimed the discovery and coined these strange animal after his own name: Dinosaurs.

1494 after the Great War:

The Golden Company  purchases a group of slaves that they liberate on the docks of Port Nyanzaru, in a display of freedom.
