Rashemen
Land of the Bersekers
Rashemen, also known as the Land of Bersekers, is a magocratic gynarchy in the Unapproachable East region of northeast Faerûn. It is a rugged and enigmatic land that could be considered nearly inhospitable by many folk. The native Rashemaar are fierce and individualistic people that are renowned across the Realms for their great bravery and stunning power wielding the arcane arts.
The nominal ruler of Rashemen is always a mighty warrior-lord known as the huhrong or Iron Lord, who is expected to rule with temperance and keep the nation safe with the aid of the berserker lodges. The true power of the nation lay with the Wychlaran, an all-female order of witches and hags that wielded great and terrible magical powers. They appointed each and every Iron Lord and could replace the role whenever necessary.
At the local level, each community or settlement was ruled over by a war leader known as a fyrra, who exclusively controlled the armed forces under his command, and whose rule could be compared similarly to that of a mayor.
Rashemen is believed to be the territory most connected to the Feywild in all of Faerûn, but its territories are very dangerous and hostile to most adventuring parties.

Modifications to the actual lore include: Before the Great War:The Wychlaran Order is put in place by Iggwilv, who doesn't want the power to fall out of witches hands in Rashemen when she leaves the land in search of greater power. Eventually, this influence will be altered and some wychlarans will eventually fall to Baba Yaga's hands.
1475 to 1480 after the Great War:
The Witch War is a civil war opposing the Hathrans, wychlarans backed by Baba Yaga (the Mother of Witches) and the Durthans, wychlarans backed by Iggwilv (Queen of Witches).
The war is eventually won by the Hathrans, who are more numerous and have the bersekers of the land doing their bidding. The Durthans are chased and forced to hide in the woods of the Rashemen.
1490 after the Great War:
The power and influence of Iggwilv over the Rashemen rapidly starts to wane, leaving more grounds for the Hathrans. Eventually, only the Ashenwood carry enough strength to magical protect the remaining Durthans. Unbeknownst to most, Mishara Viadrova, an Othlor turned Durthan, is the one defending the Ashenwood with her magic.
1493 after the Great War:
The Golden Company scours the land, helping its citizens to earn an audience with the current Iron Lord: Mangan Uruk. They eventually reach the Ashenwood , where they fight Mishara Viadrova. This fight does not result in casualties for either side. Following this encounter, the Golden Company mysteriously disappears in the Feywild.
