Sanctuary of Chauntea
This large, stone church is used both as a community gathering place and as a center for worshiping Chauntea, a goddess of agriculture. The sanctuary is tended to by a priestess of Chauntea named Erika Hornsby.Shrine of Desna
This unattended statue at the base of a stony cliff (at the top of which sits Greenest Keep) depicts a kind woman with butterfly wings and stars in her eyes. At her feet rests a plain stone bowl, in which there are always a few coins and flowers. Travellers passing through Greenest commonly leave an offering to the goddess Desna here, hoping to buy some luck for the road.History
The town of Greenest was founded by the halfling Dharva Scatterheart, a rogue who fancied herself the queen of the Greenfields. Scatterheart passed away without ever achieving that level of eminence, but her town grew into a thriving community. Its success isn’t surprising, since Greenest is the only town of any size astride the Uldoon Trail, the most direct road between the eastern cities of the Dragon Coast, Cormyr, and Sembia with the Coast Way running south to the great cities of Amn, Tethyr, and far Calimshan.
Tourism
Greenest is the first settlement that traders and caravans brave enough to pass through Darshfaeryn arrive in. As such, the town has reliable access to a steady stream of commerce in the form of new customers. Although Greenest is not a significant site of production or trade in the context of Lordsleague as a whole, Althorian merchants hoping to make their fortune in Lordsleague commonly stock up on supplies in Greenest (with the Darshfaeryn proving especially draining on most caravans' rations and resources). Likewise, Lordsleaguer merchants on their way to Althoria use Greenest as the last opportunity to sleep in comfort and stockpile supplies for the Darkwood Road.
