Branfield Blackbrand
Relationships
History
When Jac came to Cormyr to perform his seminar for the nobles, there was a young guard who caught his attention. The young man was arrogant, often spoke of things he knew little about, and was a bit of a bully towards the other guards. This young man was Branfield. While Jac found himself particularly annoyed with Branfields antics, he admired the young man's ambition. So, when Jac found himself knighted by the Cormyrean Court, and decided to take Branfield on as his squire. Worried the boy's ego may get him killed, Jac often sends Branfield on meaningless errands to keep him occupied (and safe) when Jac undertakes more dangerous work. Still, if a threat arises and Jac thinks Branfield can handle it, he will politely step aside and give his apprentice a chance to shine.
