Cult of Acererak

Despite passing up opportunities for godhood, Acererak attracts his fair share of followers and worshipers. He doesn’t grant spells, nor does he give his devotees much of his precious time. Mostly he likes to watch them suffer and die as a result of their magical pursuits and folly. Acererak does, however, occasionally create a simulacrum of himself to direct his followers in his name. The cruel villain he is, he allows most of these simulacrums to believe themselves to be the true Acererak, even as he subconsciously controls them. One such being was created to oversee the Soul Monger and the Death Curse.
