"I am the only surviving child of Sabina De Domenicio who did not have to sacrifice everything she stood for to claim so."Lady Margherita De Domenicio of Anjou is the ninth born child of Francisco I and his sixth wife, Sabina De Domenicio. She is their only surviving daughter. Margherita was born in 1555. She was four years old at the time of her mother's kidnapping, and she and her younger brother Dante were left motherless at Colina Dorado. Where Francisco failed as a father, Margherita's much older half-brother, Antonio stepped up. He oversaw her early upbringing, and when she reached the age of 15, sent her to finish her education with Catherine Dorleac in Cleves. At Brunhilde, Margherita became a star pupil in Catherine Dorleac's courses. Her arranged marriage to Rodolphe Anjou has ensured that she will become the Ladyof Cleves upon the death of Lord Charles III (and is Catherine Dorleac's crowning achievement). At present, she has three children: Rodolphe the Younger, Benjamin, and Yseult. In the War of the Usurper, Margherita and the rest of Cleves supported Antonio the Usurper. Margherita took particular issue with her younger brother Dante Turncoat's betrayal of Antonio. Her presence at the Council of 1574 is said to be solely to discredit her brother's claim, though she also would like to promote Josée Capucine Dorleac's ascension.
Appearance and Personality
In her youth, Margherita was not known as a particular beauty. She has the strong features of her father and mismanaged red curls which ran wild. However, she captured the attention of many suitors, including the bastard son of Antonio the Usurper, Achille Santos, though she rebuffed his advances. Her time in Brunhildre taught her womanly graces that enhanced her appearance. Margherita is firece and opinionated, and a strong player of the game. As the Lady of Cleves, she is much beloved.
