Catherine Dorleac
Lady Catherine Thérèse Antoinette Dorleac (a.k.a. Catherine the Vain)
Lady Catherine Thérèse Antoinette Dorleac was the Queen of Toscana during her marriage to Francisco I. She was born in 1510 at the Chateau Rose, the Dorleac family seat.
After the death of Francisco's first wife, Isabella Ingrassia, he had the pick of any woman he desired from teh seven kingdoms. He selected Catherine Dorleac based on her beauty, however, he soon found out his affections were not reciprocated. Catherine was polite and respectful, but uninspired by Francisco. After a royal visit to Cleves, Catherine is reported to have "brightened" upon meeting Lord Henri Lugo, a minor noble, causing Francisco to become depressed.
Catherine had two daughters while married to Francisco - Josée Capucine Dorleac and Antoine Dorleac . After giving birth to a second girl, Francisco was reported to have gone into a rage. He banished Catherine and her daughters from Colina Dorado, and they set their sights on returning to Chateau Rose. However, on a rest stop at Brunhilde, the lord of the manor Henri Lugo propsed to Catherine after only 3 days. One week later, they were married, and Catherine was the new lady of the house.
Catherine raised her girls in all manner of politics and womanhood, in order to secure them advantageous marriages. During the teenage years of Claudia Aurelia, Catherine raised her as well, to allow her more connections in a diminishing world.
