Science Fantasy Thinkers
This time around I have decided to read articles that are exclusively from members of the same chapter that I am in, even though we are not the most active and amazing chapters out there (sorry Dimi xD), I want to celebrate a little the time and worldbuilding that we did side by side in the recent times. I specifically picked the most liked articles of each of the members that were active in our discord thread to hopefully learn something new from all sorts of different kinds of articles.
I learnt that there is SO MUCH that can be told using fashion and I would like to dive deeper into it in my own worldbuilding.
I learnt that swamps can make some good song content and I wish I could make some like that.
I learnt that I NEED to make my own resource hub!
I learnt that there is so many things one can write about plants!
I learnt that I really need to revisit my past summer camp goals and other connected articles as it is my favourite challenge of the year!
I learnt that thanks to this article I am a bit tempted to attempt a challenge along the line of Galaxy24, because planets are cool and hot and steamy and many other amazing things!
I learnt that there is so much creative things one could do when writing about buildings and what happens in them!
I learnt that I still love articles that are mostly focused on text instead of fancy css + I really want to revisit more past challenge entries!
I learnt you can write exciting series overviews and I should maybe figure out how to write them well too!
And last but not least... from Dimi himself, I learnt how to write inticing character intros to lure my players into the world and trap them there forever muahahahaha.
New Years Resolutions
Considering how wildly different the end of my year went compared to how I planned it, I have only one major resolution when it comes to my creative life here on worldanvil:
be better. If I manage to achieve that, I will be happy.
For more concrete things that I would like to do, here is a list:
1) have a book ready for publishing by the end of June
2) read 10 worldbuilding books to get back into reading non-fiction more often
3) finish running a ttrpg campaign or adventure and not get defeated by the constant scheduling issues
4) pick one world that will be my main focus and develop it through the past and present sage seminars
5) make good memories, take more challenges this year and celebrate every little win I accomplish
