Aarakocra

Aarakocra are graceful denizens of the skies, possess a striking and unique appearance of the numerous birds they represent, similar to their Kenku and Owlin relatives, albeit a distant relation. Their avian features are unmistakable, with feathered bodies, wings that extend from their arms or backs, and beaks that hint at their avian heritage, taking the forms of non-owls and non-corvids. Standing between five to seven feet tall, an aarakocra's wingspan can reach impressive lengths, aiding them in gliding effortlessly through the air. Once natives to the Elemental Plane of Air, the bird-folk share a deep connection to the wind and sky that is inherent to their very being, allowing them to soar with a freedom that few other races can comprehend. Aarakocra, whether they have migrated to the Material Plane or still remain on the Plane of Air, have a tribal and communal culture, commonly found living atop towering mountain tops of the Broken Spine or the Twin-tail Peaks or within the lofty coastal cliffs of The Steppes. Their strong ties to nature and the wind often lead them to become revered as weather forecasters and guardians of the skies and devout followers of the Elven Goddess, Aerdrie Faenya.
