When she and her family made their way to Arine for the Quarter Year Tourney of the Second Prince she would, boldly, offer him her favor, something many of the old nobility saw as crass given her family's station as a baronetcy of the small, port town of White Pine north-west of the Jade Wood on the western side of the Stillwake Sea, but considering where Lucian stood in the order of succession at the time, a majority of the ruling class feigned care. The pair would continue their courting for another two and half years before circumstances would thrust the two onto the throne and it is here when the feigning ceased almost instantly, some of the more brash and affronted nobles demanding that their already consummated marriage be annulled and the Thirty-Sixth be remarried to a more storied and better stationed House to lead the Empire into the coming Fourth Age.
These demands were ignored.
Cherise is the more poised and altruistic half of the ruling pair, and is known for her sharp wit and ability to root out half-truths. She is often seen by the Emperor's side, offering counsel and support to her husband as he sits upon the Throne of the Salvae Empire.
