To better secure the loyalties of the desert tribes that roamed the north-west regions of the Gold Plains, west of Boltangate Fort, Solomon Kordev was betrothed and wed to Zelah Zekkal, a desert priestess.

During the midst of the Salvae Revolution, many usurpers sent secret envoys into the Gold Plains to and try and entice some of the desert tribes to their cause. To quell any potential unrest from the deserts, Mordecai Kordev called a gathering of the local tribes to which his families drew ties from to better reassure their loyalties. The most binding of ties was, of course, a marriage to the chieftan of the Storm Sand tribe's daughter, Zelah Zekkal, a desert priestess and rain dancer.
