Ise Grand Shrine
Seat of the Killing Stone
A great shrine on the eastern coast of Ise Province known as one of the finest in Japan. Ise Grand Shrine has a storied history behind it, even in recent years. It was, until 1559, under the control of Ichinomiya Hachirō of the Ichinomiya Clan. Hachirō died under unfortunate circumstances related to Katsusada Shishauezaemon, who then made claim to the shrine and province by adopting Ichinomiya Karen, Hachirō's undead daughter. The Grand Shrine was soon after the site of a mighty battle between Hashinara and Oda-Tokugawa forces, as well as a major factor in the resurrection and final death of Tamamo-no-Mae, one of the Three Great Yōkai of Japan.
Now, the temple has undergone significant reconstruction and repurposing by the order of Hashinara Yoshiyuki. It currently serves as a great monument to the deity Omoikane. Custodianship of this historical temple has been granted to High Priestess Yagokoro Tokuyo. By use of her skill in Dream magic, the site often serves as a connection point between Earth and the Dreamlands. Ise Grand Shrine remains a popular place of worship for practitioners of Shinto alongside this, and the remains of the Sesshō Seki in the temple basement are a curiosity envied by many scholars of the occult.
