Summary

Bakeneko Daimyō of the Ryūzōji Clan. Takanobu is actually the youngest of the Yōkai who came together to revive the ancient clan, and she often has to rely on her companions to both advise and translate for her. Her natural charisma and presence, however, made her the obvious choice to be their leader, and her determination is unmatched even by most human samurai.
Takanobu tries to take most things seriously, and sometimes overcompensates as a result of her cute appearance, coming across instead as aloof and formal. She likes being decisive, and having plans set out in an orderly, predetermined manner, even if she often fails to follow said plans in the heat of the moment. Easily distracted, she nevertheless always comes back to the point and pulls through when the situation demands it. Her hobbies include balls of yarn and daredevil stunts.

Personal history

Takanobu initiated and was present at the negotiations between the Hashinara and the Ryūzōji. Though she began the meeting and led off well, her participation dropped as the discussion became more complicated, often relying on Ryūzōji Matashichirō for the more difficult questions.
Despite Ryūzōji Masaie‘s original objections, Takanobu was in favor of the Hashinara’s plan to capture Hosokawa Fujitaka without undue bloodshed, and agreed to trade Matashichiro to them as a “prisoner”, receiving Matsumoto Ooawagaeri in return as a sign of good faith.
When Hosokawa Gracia‘s forces were detected moving through Yamashiro Province, Takanobu led a small contingent of Bakeneko and samurai to ambush them along with the Hashinara army. During the violent and bloody battle, she faced off against Gracia and sustained a serious injury, her right leg chopped off at the knee, shortly after seeing her friend and general, Ryūzōji Masaie, killed in front of her by enemy samurai.
Justifiably furious, Takanobu had to be dragged away by two of the surviving Bakeneko, and refused to speak when the battle had ended, instead collecting Masaie’s body and returning to @Setsu Province.
