Grand Prince
Requirements
To become a grand prince, one must not own any land/fiefs in but still be of noble birth. One must also be of at least 30 years of age. Other than those requirements, anyone can opt to attempt to become a grand prince through the senatorial election done by a council of all of the high princes from the nation.
Appointment
A person is raised to this rank after a vote done by the senate, a political body consisting of each high prince of Riphtenland. The grand prince must then be crowned by the current high priest of Eoclatism.
Responsibilities
The grand prince must act as the ceremonial head of the Riphtenland, dealing with the enforcement of the few existing federal laws created by the senate. In times of war, the grand prince must be ready to take up arms and lead the armies of the Riphtenland as the nation's supreme military general.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
The grand prince can be removed upon a majority vote from the Senate with a legitimate reason and permission from the high priest.
