Grimgold is an almost black, purple colored metal that has a golden shine to it when in a polished/forged form. As an ore, Grimgold is a blackish stone littered with small holes and marks.
Physical & Chemical Properties
Grimgold is a malleable, shiny metal with no abnormal physical properties other than its unusually cold temperature when in the form of ingots or items. Since grimgold originates in the lower dimensions and was only found in the mortal plane after the Rift had opened, the metal has a natural affinity with necrotic properties, causing necrosis of the skin to those hurt by weapons utilizing the metal while also being able to protect against such effects when worn as armor.

Grimgold is found on the cliffs that line the Rift's northern coast. Typically, grimgold ore is visible on the surface of the cliff faces, making it easy to spot possible veins.

Grimgold is found within its own ore, a blackish stone that greatly contrasts with the pale, white cliffs of the Rift.
