Adeptus Minor of "craft"

The study of magic, especially in an academic environment is not for everybody. So it happens quite often that a student discontinues after acquiring the rank of Adeptus Minor. A good number of students then seek a completely different path, some seek apprenticeship some start to follow a different tradition or school of magic and some might just leave magic behind completely.

Those who are combining their magical education with a successful apprenticeship will be magical journeymen and -women of their chosen craft. Those who do so are very highly regarded for their skills and knowledge. Those individuals will be addressed by their craft combined with the title mage. Examples are the healer-mage, the harper-mage or the smith-mage.

Like any other Journeyman they may and often do, strive to become masters of their craft and on the day they achieve this they obtain the title Master as any other craftsman does.
So they will be addressed as "Mastersmith-mage", "Masterhealer-mage" and so forth.

If formality is called for the full titles are used:
A Healer-mage could be addressed as Adeptus Minor of Healing.
A Masterhealer-mage could be introduced as Master Adeptus Minor of Healing.

While it is common and proper to call an Adeptus Minor "Studios" this title is not used for any "Adeptus Minor of " simply because the journeymanship is so well regarded on its own and considered to be at least an equal achievement, in some regions it is even higher regarded than the Adeptus Minor rank.
