family reunion

Kayako receives a letter from her brother, Ibaraki saying that he wants to reunite and reconcile. Of course, she doesn't fall for it because her brother killed her one and only best friend but nonetheless, invites him over for dinner. Luna comes over as Vladimir hopes that if there's a guest, especially a cute little girl, that'll reduce the chance of Kayako killing someone. It worked but Kayako still severely injure her brother after he said something that pissed her off.

Plot points/Scenes

Scene #1: While meditating, a messenger comes and delivers Kayako a scroll explaining that it came from her brother, Ibaraki. She reads it and it says that he wants to reunite. She tells Vladimir, who instantly becomes cautious as he knows about the situation between Kayako and her brother.   “Ibaraki sent me a letter, for the first time,” Vladimir’s wife, a mysterious pale Japanese woman with long lavender hair and piercing white eyes. “how did he do that?” Vladimir asked. “Last I heard, it was impossible to mail others from different realms,” he mentioned.  “He didn’t send me a letter, in the mail. He sent one of the servants to deliver it,” She explained, still pissed that the messenger interrupted her peaceful meditation. “What does he want?” Vladimir asked.  “To reconcile and meet my family,” She explained. “Are you prepared?” “To throw him out the window?” “To see him, after all these years,” Vladimir clarified.  “No, I want to punch him in the face,” Kayako explained. Her husband sighed, knowing she would say something like that. "He was the one who was angry at me for marrying someone from a different realm and leaving Kurayami palace, I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of his tricks," Kayako mentioned.  "I just don't trust him, especially around our sons!" She added.    Scene #2: Afraid Kayako might get violent, Vladimir suggests that Ronnie invites Luna over in hopes that having a cute girl there will lessen the chance of Kayako possibly killing her brother.   Scene #3: Luna gets ready for dinner, She put on a black hi-low dress with a halter neck and white stockings with lavender Mary Jane heels. Luna painted her nails black and put on the ruby necklace that was passed down to her. Lastly, she put a moon charm on her hair and a red cape.   Luna was getting ready when Ronnie invited her. He figured since Luna is cute, then his mom would be less likely to start something. “How do I look?” Luna asked her parents. “Gorgeous sweetie!” Her mom exclaimed. Her dad, on the other hand, examined her. “I heard it’s cold in the vampiric empire,” Her dad mentioned. He reached into a closet and got out a red cape. It was an homage to Retter’s red cape, but due to his huge height, custom capes have been tailored in the past, mainly for short female members. This cape belonged to his daughter Eris, who was around Luna’s height. “I’m not sure, I don’t want to be extra,” “Luna, you’re dining with vampires, if anything you’ll fit right in,” Her dad reassured.   Luna rang the doorbell and was greeted by a butler with white skin, brown hair, and pink eyes. “Ah, you must be Luna, " He said, she smiled and nodded. Sebastian kindly took Luna’s cape and put it away.   Scene #4: The dinner is quiet and awkward, not a word is said and the only sound comes from the occasional clanging of chopsticks and plates. Luna assumes it's supposed to be that way because you're not allowed to talk during tea ceremonies. Bored, Vladimir decides to read her mind and finds out she's thinking about dinner with her family where everyone is mad at a cousin because she replaced the turkey with some salty dry chicken.   During the dinner, they served Japanese food. Luckily Luna knew how to use chopsticks. It was quiet, all that could be heard was the occasional clashing of dishes, or slurping from the soup. It was uncomfortable, and everyone was uncomfortable, Luna thought it was normal because she knew during Japanese tea ceremonies, no talking was allowed, and thus assumed that must be the case for dinner. On the bright side, since no one was talking Luna didn’t have to strain her voice. She recently discovered she could talk softly, but anything other than that easily strained her voice. “At least Luna doesn’t find this strange,” Vladimir sighed.   Scene #5: Ibaraki decided to start talking, commenting that it was quiet and telling Kayako he came to talk to her. An argument comes up when Ibaraki says "I don't understand why you're so angry at me," and Kayako responds by saying "You killed my best friend and you wonder why I hate you?" She caused everyone to pause in their tracks. Kayako asked Sebastian to take Luna to the ice cream fridge so she can cause some violence.   Scene #6: A loud crash is heard and Sebastian and Luna rush over to see Ronnie, Xavier, and Vladimir cowering in the corner while Kayako is banging Ibaraki's head against the table and both his sons are knocked out. Ibaraki's katana falls and slides over to Luna, Kayako asks her to grab it, unsheath it and give it to her. Luna does and Kayako gives her brother even more injuries, then she rewards Luna with more ice cream.   Scene #7: Ronnie apologizes for what happened and Luna reassures him it's okay and she's seen crazier then gives the example of how her dad got mad because his in-laws were mad at him for saying something in Korean so he stole all the mashed potatoes.
