The first battle of the Clone Wars.

Official Version: Jedi Master Mace Windu leads a criminal gang to interfere with executions being carried out by the government of Geonosis. Geonosis declares war on the Republic in response to this extreme overreach by the Jedi Order and attacks Republic forces, starting the Clone Wars.   Jedi version: A group of Jedi led by Master Mace Windu go to Geonosis to rescue Master Obi-Wan Kenobi from execution by the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Confederacy refuses to let the Jedi leave, and attacks them instead, starting the Clone Wars. The Army of the Republic, led by Master Yoda, arrives to save the Jedi.
