Grande Contrabbandiere (gr-AHN-day con-tra-BAN-dee-er-ey)
Structure
The hierarchy of GC goes from highest to lowest:
- Padrone: The highest-ranking member. The main "boss" of the entire organization.
- Regolatore: The regulators of price. These people must be extremely money-smart in order to keep track of sales and the prices of everything.
- Alto Mercante: Merchants of a higher class. These merchants have the privilege to sell items that are of much higher value and rarity. Things like potions and magic items are the items to be sold by the Alto Mercante.
- Sicari: A side-line set of GC members that have a non-mercantile job. These people are trained to keep all of the members in-line. People who've turned against the organization may find themselves looking at the blade or barrel of a Sicari GC member.
- Mercante: The standard merchants of the GC. Many members of the gang belong here, buying and selling merchandise for prices that are deemed to be more appropriate than the standards of the public.
Culture
GC's culture primarily runs on the simple idea that the mercantile world and economy is corrupt and unstable. The group sees themselves as being the proper members of society when it comes to the world of buying and selling. The way on how they acquire their supplies may be legally gray or even straight-up illegal, but it's done in a way to benefit both its members and, according to them, the country's economy.
Public Agenda
GC's main goals are to provide a place for their members to buy and sell goods and services at more reasonable prices. Certain goods and services deemed cheaper than the regular market values them will be sold at a lower rate to members and vice versa.
Assets
Assets are plenty in Grande Contrabbandiere. There is a high amount of gold circulating throughout the gang and even more items to be sold. For particularly well-off members, there exists certain "safehouses" that members can patronize in for some days/nights. These safehouses provide bedding, basic food coverage, and even working stations. They're usually located in more drab and shady areas of Bukatelian towns. Don't expect to gain entrance to these places if you're neither a member nor someone that has the password.
History
Founded in the year 425, Grande Contrabbandiere started off as a pretty basic merchant's guild, selling standard items, goods, and services. However, as time went on, many of the members started to see that Bukatelia's economic status was becoming more and more unstable. It also didn't help that the alchemistic guild, The Midas Guild, was a major controlling factor for potion and medicine-selling.
Eventually, in the year 442, the merchant's guild would soon narrow its doors from the public eye and become increasingly more members-only. Its actions for acquiring both members, goods, and services would also start to go more "underground." By then, the guild became a cartel, holding its own internal economy for its members. The only way to be part of the gang would be to get into contact with someone else that was also part of the original guild.
Currently, Grande Contrabbandiere is striving quite well in the black-market scene. Everything is overseen and ran by an individual with no name, being only known as the Padrone.

Low Opinion
Ever since the 5th Holy Grail War threw GC and Ryunosu against each other, their originally peaceful relations have never been the same. While they aren't actively hostile towards eachother, the 5th Holy Grail War left too many casualties for eithers' comfort. Members are disuaded from working with the other group.
