Holy Grail
History
The Holy Grail was created by the gods and given to the people of the world as a form of maintaining balance in the world. A select amount of people would be given the task of using the Holy Grail's wishing-granting power to maintain said balance.
However, in the year 350, the Holy Grail was hijacked by a team of mages in charge of powering the Grail with magic. Instead of using the normal ritual of powering, they instead modified the grail so that its wish-granting powers would only be activated after a death battle between select factions. The Grail was given a slight sense of sentience. It chose no more than 5 factions, be it nation, kingdom, or elite house, to assemble a team of warriors to fight to the death, with the last team standing being the faction to gain the Grail.
In the year 600, at the end of the 6th Holy Grail War,the winning country of Bukatelia decided to do an unfathomable task: Destroying the Holy Grail. When the Grail was destroyed, it unleashed a massive burst of raw magical energy all across the continent. Yet surprisingly, no real physical damage was immediately caused by the explosion.
Significance
The Holy Grail is now a current subject and artifact that is frequently studied by special organizations like the Gaia-Stella Organization. Specifically, Gaia-Stella has discovered its use to be less of an instant wish-granting item and more of a nigh-infinite mana-producing battery of sorts. It is suspected that ever since the "primary Grail's" destruction in the year 600, it scattered its essence beyond the barriers of Tynaria Alt, seeping into and reforming itself into many other planes of existence. It is there where such theories lead to the singularities/temporal rips becoming problematic. Another world has acquired a grail and someone found it, used it for nefarious reasons, and now its consequences have leaked through the temporal rip into Tynaria Alt, the world where it all started.
