One of the few times in recorded history where a goddess has besieged a town. Through various sources, it is said it was retribution on a group of adventurers and others say it was out of the goddess' own spite. It is also serves point where the religion of Jiang, the Dragon God, most notably appears. It is also the battle where Biri, Cleric of Jiang, is killed.

Through various sources, it is said it was retribution on a group of adventurers and others say it was out of the goddess' own spite. It is also serves point where the religion of Jiang, the Dragon God, most notably appears.   The Northern Expeditionary Team had been helping the town of Easthaven recover after it was attacked by a mechanical dragon from a nearby duergar fortress. During the few days the group is helping fix up the town, Biri offers funeral rights and ceremonies for converting for those that are interested. Due to the nature of what happened in the fight with the dragon, with Biri and Lydia blasting it with both lightning and thunder, many survivors are eager to convert to Biri's god, Jiang.   In doing this and seemingly taking one tenth of her followers, the Frostmaiden, orchestrates an attack on Easthaven. Commanding frost giants, magically imbued undead and frost wolves to circle the town to prevent citizens from escaping. On the morning of the 18th, the town is surrounded by the Frostmaiden's forces. In the following battle only a few houses were damaged, but Biri, of the Expeditionary Team is killed, at the hands of the Frostmaiden. Her body turned to ice as a message and warning by the goddess.
