Toiling away in his laboratory, Kresz constructs tools and drugs to alter organic life as the mutagen artificer for the Yuan-Ti Empire. Utilizing radiant Cyanite crystals, Krez can fundamentally change the physical nature of a living creature through surgical means. These skills are employed by Yuan-Ti to advance their body modifications, which are seen culturally as a way to become more divine.
As a child, Kresz was obsessed with dissection, often following vultures to examine the corpses of the recently deceased fauna of The Red Sands. Though this proclivity at first disturbed his family, with judgement free parenting and counseling, his fascination soon shifted from the dead to the living. As a mutagen artificer, he now incorporates elements of play into his research; Kresz is always designing games or puzzles to test hypotheses and uses interactive demonstrations to communicate complex concepts. In his spare time he also collects crystalline objects and fashions figurines, which he stores in a massive personal cistern granted to him for scientific purposes.
