Despite being considered average in every way at the start of her career, Hellene has since become the second most powerful person in The Cometfall Theocracy- a feat that seemed impossible for a non-mage to achieve. Initially considered unfit to rule Megaris, Hellene's mother passed control of the city to her sister, Horatia the Younger. But when her sister was tragically killed in the Battle of The Red Sands, Hellene stepped up to the challenge and inspired her troops to a speedy retreat. From there, she led her forces to a string of victories, retaking key strategic points and securing her place as a formidable leader.
Hellene's path to success was not an easy one, but she refused to let failures stop her. Undeterred by political mistakes, smear campaigns, and initial policy blunders, she sought counsel from the Mother Superior of the Megaran Nuns and her advisors, improving her statecraft over time. Today, through sheer grit and determination, she is one of the most qualified rulers in Tyras and commands the respect of all who know her.
As a mother, Hellene is just as fierce and protective as she is as a ruler. Drawing on her own story of self-improvement, she imposed a rigorous curriculum on her daughter, Eva, cultivating her physical prowess, charisma, and magical talents. Though rumors of a fraught mother-daughter relationship have circulated, Hellene denies them vehemently.
