"There is always a bigger beast."
The Solana Steppe is a wide landscape of high altitude grasslands and shrubland in northeastern Tyras. The flora and fauna of the region have striking adaptations to cool, wet nights and days with intense sunlight. These conditions have lead to the development of fast growing plants able to fill any open patches of soil overnight, numerous species of herbivorous megafauna grazing on the abundant resources, and specialized predators. The animals of the region, fast wildfires, torrential thunderstorms, and tornadoes regularly clear patches of the steppe of all plantlife, preventing the growth of large trees and old plants. Despite the natural regeneration of resources, living in the Steppe often requires frequent migrations in order to avoid the plethora of dangers present.
