Necromancer's Apothecary: Game 6

General Summary

The Party investigated, attacked and defeated Gravon Pitt, the necromancer and supplier of poisons to Thieves Guild.

Apothecary

The Party's plan was to investigate and gain information from Gravon Pitt. This was a well designed plan to interrogate him and ensure that it was done in a way that ensured there was no combat, or for the Party to be discovered if a fight occurred. However, even the best laid plans of rats and men go awry. The Party ended up fighting, and defeating Gravon Pitt, his brother Hedder Pitt, a wererat, and their two guards Bruno and Baxter. Bruno was armed with a club and dagger, and was an overweight, strong Bevilian who was constantly eating. Baxter was armed with a club and a hidden short sword, and was a tall, talkative and enjoyed chewing wood. The Party was only able to defeat the wererat because Ankili mac Aevyrn cast a spell enchanting his wooden cudgel. So far, the bloody attack on a well respected member of the Bondar and Buntar business community and Guild of Healers has yet to be discovered.   The Party chased Gravon Pitt into the sewers, fought and defeated his undead skeleton warrior, summoned shitstorm, and ghoul, and ended the game session with Cormac striking the final blow, incapacitating but not killing the necromancer priest. All members of the Party remain standing and alive, with the partial exception of the bastard son of Rhodri Fawr, Tigernach, who was injured and rendered incapacitated.

Immediate Next Steps

  • Gravon Pitt is unconscious. The Party can kill, interrogate, search his body and/or leave him.
  • In the sewer's niche is a box, that was guarded by a skeleton warrior.
  • The Apothecary shop can be searched.
  • The dead bodies Bruno, Baxter and Hedder Pitt can be searched.
  • The Party needs to be able to exit the Apothecary shop and the town of Buntar.
  • Others next steps?

Next to Immediate Next Steps

The next day, the Party is planning on leaving south in a merchant flotilla lead by Fianna Fawr and her brother Angharad Fawr. They are eldest children of Rhodri Fawr, the old warrior and current merchant who owes the Druids a favor.   Two of the boats will be captained by Emer Mor Emer, Emer the Boatwoman and Enid Ni Cuhail. There are expected to be at least four other boats, with the main cargo high quality Bevilian cloth that will be taken to Northern Fultar. There will be a number of professional, trained Celtic guards, under the leadership of Angharad.   The cloth would ordinarily be transported via ocean going ships, but the war between the Gildam Confederacy and Bevil is making travel over the seas dangerous and increasing traffic down the Kozar River to Northern Fultar.   July 10, YR 908
