Dr. Ammitt Gladius (a.k.a. Lady Gladius)

As my babies grow older I find myself worrying, not about the next big breakthrough or if the tensions between Auferetu and Veritas will finally snap, but about small things like if my line of work is too dangerous to be in the same house as them, or if me and my sisters' reputations and passed actions will come back to haunt them. I worry if I've made some huge enemy waiting to strike at my family, I worry for my love who is fighting his own battles. I worry of how the frequent absences of their father will affect how they see the world, their family, their future relationships, I don't want my kids to believe a normal family behaves the way we do, but I don't necessarily want us to change the way we are. I want my children to be proud of the legacies their family upholds, of the stunning achievements both sides of their family have made, of their lineage and of their beliefs. I want to feel close to their family, I want even more badly for them to have that strong sense of community and peace the way my parents did. I worry my children will grow bitter and cold like me and my sisters did at such a young age, and there's nothing I can do to calm these worries but tell myself that I'll always be there when they need me.

Ammitt was the eldest of the Gladius Sisters, and the mother of the Gladius Triplets.
Her specific areas of expertise were that of the Voidists, studies in black matters and other commonly frowned-upon and questionable fields in magic and science. She had a quiet and calm personality, and was often described as observant, calculative, and curious by nature. Many who met her find it hard to clearly recall memories of her due to the fact that she was always off by herself working on personal projects. When compared to her sisters, her work spaces were much more crowded, yet oddly tidy and organized. Shelves upon shelves full of books, jars, gadgets, and other various nick-knacks covered the walls; her counters and tables were always preoccupied with current projects and notes.
While she carried the same air of silent judgement as her sisters, Ammitt was quickest to speak-up; whether it be welcoming guests, starting conversations with fellow scientists/academics, or upholding the presence and strength that is to be the Royal Adviser to the Lucubratio Empire. As a mother she grew warmer to her neighbors and surrounding communities; offering play dates with the babies while she helped the parents with any problems they had, seeking child care advice from elders in the nearby villages, often taking the children on trips around Veritas and on rare occasions even Middle Ground. It was noted by one of the closer neighbors that she seemed to grow more anxious about the environment and how it would affect her kids, and was even recorded in a home video of her worries.
