Dr. Meditrina Gladius (a.k.a. Trina)

General Life

Meditrina is the youngest and meanest of the sisters; while she is a doctor and help people when they need it, she has been known to upright walk out of house calls due to rude guests and large differences in beliefs and morals. She's fairly well-known in Auferetu, but due to recent history she will rarely travel there or accept patients from any of their kingdoms. Because of this, she often travels throughout Middle Ground and Veritas, and bring back gifts for her nieces and nephew.
Upon the morning of the triplet's fourth birthday party she made the announcement to her sisters that she was believed to be with-child, though she could not get a hold of the father. When tragedy first struck she immediately made a move to get the kids away from the immediate danger, leaving her sisters to fend off the intruders. Soon they would all gather to hide in a smaller building on the family Estate, and when smoke and flames crept within she would try to get all of the kids out first, only managing Sebastian Faust, Clarence Lux, and Cantionis before she was knocked out.
In the aftermath of that night, with no clear perpetrator for the actions that went down, Meditrina was charged with the deaths of almost all of her family, destruction of private property, arson, and attempted murder of the Faust and Lux families. She was sentenced to an unspecified amount of years in the Lucubratio Kingdom Penitentiary, at the highest security level in the lowest floor, with very limited contact to anyone else.

Behind Bars

Meditrina has spent a total of 18 years so far alone, in a damp and dark cement room, with no one to talk to and no one to believe her. Every time a guard walks by, or higher official came in for a health check-up she'd maintain her innocence, but she couldn't tell who the person behind it all is.
When she went into labor it was a mess, there weren't any doctors assigned to her level and the guards at first believed she was faking it. After the bloody and painful ordeal was over, she spent five minutes with her baby before the doctors took him away, never to be seen again. And while Trina didn't get to hear about how her son was doing, she would be lucky to overhear tales of her niece, the only family that survived the fire. She'd hear of the impossible odds she'd survive, of the intelligence she proved, of the unjust accusations she faced. Trina kept mental receipts of everything she heard, and soon she'd be formulating a plan, to get her family back and to never let go, being behind bars for 18 long years does that to you.

Serpent Symbolism

Serpent species are seen as a symbol for many positive and negative things throughout all of Ultimus, but they are especially sacred for Veritas. The species known as Callidus Funem is one such serpent, known to represent fertility, cleverness, immortality and strength; it is for these reasons that Meditrina wold grow an attachment to it as a symbol. This is further reinforced with a serpent memento tattoo along her collarbone and multiple jars of serpent specimens and venom. Any depictions of the tragedy or of Meditrina often included serpents hidden among the images, as the two had been closely linked in the public's eye.
