Tabula

The Tabula is a communication device used by every witch in the United Britannia and Hibernia. Given at the start of a witch's Academy education, a Tabula would only be bought if the Tabula becomes irreparably broken.
Resembling both a cell phone and tablet from the human world, the Tabula can switch from one size to another with ease. In addition, the Tabula runs on magic so it never runs out of battery, although the battery can decay with age. The Tabula's communicative abilities run on a system similar to WiFi (a human invention witches are impressed with), although again, that system is run by magic.
The Tabula can be used in much the same ways a cell phone or tablet does: it can call and text, look up information, and run games and "apps" (they are called programs in UBH). The Magisterium and Council utilize the Tabula to send pertinent messages all throughout the United Britannia and Hibernia.
The most popular way to communicate through the Tabula is through the Hologram Program. Witches watch entertainment through the Hologram Program as well.
