A modern tradition that started after The Unravelling, where changelings leave their old human name behind for a new name to repressent them from then on.
Inspired by the older changelings, the newfound children are often inspired to follow in this tradition by themselves.

History
The tradition started with the first orphaned changelings after The Unravelling, where several of the scorned children felt the need to distance themselves from their lost past.
This quickly spread across institutions, and is now common practice among young changelings.

Execution
As a child has chosen a new name, they are simply reintroduced with their new name the following day.
Observance
The reintroduction is done under the morning meeting, where the fellow home-schooled changeling children participate.
