Mr. Millard Henry Christianson, II
Physical Description
Acrobatics +6, Perception +5, Sleight of Hand +6, Stealth +6, Survival +5
Mental characteristics
He hadn't felt like he belonged with the average and boring family that he was born into. Because of this, he spent his younger years drifting across America. He rode his bike where he needed to go and did what ever odd jobs needed doing to earn the money that he needed. He has spent 16 months in jail. He committed some petty theft when things were tight while he was in Bellevue and they caught him, but he did his time and that’s in the past now. After he got out of jail, he decided it was time to settle down and earn a regular living. He wasn't interested in going back to jail.
While traveling, he ran into his fair share of trouble. Because of that, he has made a point to learn how to protect himself. Picking things up here and there just like he has learned everything else. He has even learned a few things while in jail.
Informal street learning.
He was scouted by Sanford when there was a minor scuffle on the street with a bug bear. Most people ran and then forgot what they saw. Millard stayed and fought the bug bear. Then he remembered how strange the thing had been. Somehow different than other genetically modified people he had met. This was how he discovered that he could see past the veil and how he discovered the veil. Sanford had been there to take the bug bear down, but instead watched Millard do the job for him. Sanford was impressed because Millard had done it well and had maintained clarity of mind.
He is a rare specimen. Indeed," Sanford said.
He has been working as part of team 1 ever since. It has been 6 years now and he has no regrets in joining the team.

Personality Characteristics
He works hard for the Shadow Investigations Unit with the ideal that they will one day discover what is causing the Rifts to open. He hopes that they will be able to close the Rifts after they have sent all the Shadow Kind back to their own world.

While he may sound noble with his diligence to the law, but he can be inflexible and often blindly follows the rules even if they make no sense. He can harshly judge others that don’t follow the same rules and places his loyalty to the system above his loyalty to friends and family. The system is what creates the order that allows everything else to exist.
Social
Both his parents are still alive and he has 3 siblings. He hasn't seen any of them since he left his home when he was 20. To the best of his knowledge, they are all still alive and living in the small town in Maine where he left them. He doesn’t have a relationship with any of them. He doesn’t think he would recognize them now if he saw them. Blood relationships are over rated.
He is horribly, horribly awkward in social situations.
He is chatty and says whatever is on his mind. This has gotten him into trouble more than once.

History
Together, they are Team 1. When on the battlefield they work like two parts of a single well made machine. But once the mission is complete, all their loyalties end. Millard hates that he was assigned to work with a woman and hates it more that she is a half breed. However, he cannot deny that she is excellent at what she does. Still, it wouldn't hurt his feelings if someone shot her or she died in her sleep.

Enemy (Trivial)
Towards Millard Christianson
History
He had the misfortune of meeting Charles Flydwight. At the time, he didn’t know who he was and as usual, he was running his mouth. This led him to saying something that offended Charles and instead of apologizing, Millard taunted him about it. Honestly, he’s surprised that he has a job. It is a testimony to how much Sanford wants him on his team.
