Goddess of Secrets
The goddess of knowledge and secrets is a being both powerful and mysterious. There is very little that happens in the cosmos without Dremera's knowledge. She is typically depicted as a hooded woman shrouded in shadows and it is not known if anyone, god or mortal, has ever actually seen her face. If anyone has they have kept it a closely guarded secret, or not lived to be able to tell. It is believed that none of the other gods would dare cross her because of the secrets she knows about each of them. Instead, it is common for them attempt to make deals with Dremera for the knowledge she hordes.
Dremera believes that knowledge is power and while she typically takes a more neutral stance on most matters, there is very little she isn't willing to do in order to acquire any information she thinks could be used to her advantage. She is a goddess that always seems to have countless plots and machinations in play to safeguard her station and increase her power. None fully understand whatever grand design or goal she is aiming for, if there even is one. Dremera is more than willing to work with most of the other gods, whether it is to share or acquire new information. However such things typically come with a cost.
Spies and scholars makeup a vast number of Dremera's worshippers. Others might include those seeking some form of forbidden knowledge whether it be arcane, divine, mundane, or occult. It is not uncommon for thieves or assassins to worship her as well in the hopes of keeping their own actions clandestine. Many courts and governments are loathe to admit it, but worshippers of Dremera are often their greatest assets and allies in a world rife with political intrigue and war.
Places dedicated to the worship of Dremera can be anything from secret hideaways that only the clergy know about to vaults with rare and unique knowledge locked within, accessible to those with the money or proper connections. These facilities are often riddled with hidden passageways and secret chambers that only certain members of the clergy are aware of. It is not uncommon for hidden caches protected by riddles and traps to be scattered throughout churches or temples to Dremera. These secrets vary in difficulty to discover and are used as both trials for members to climb the ranks as well as a reminder to never stop searching for the next secret.
