Kefrad
The Kingdom of Kefrad is heavily based on the feudal society and kingdoms of medieval England. The government is based on a hereditary monarchy with a supporting council of lords and nobles from throughout the kingdom. The hierarchy consists of the monarch (king or queen) at the top, followed by dukes, marquess, counts, barons, lords, then knights. Power and influence are strongly based on land ownership.
Kefrad is home to the famous Drakengard, an organization of highly trained drake riders. The Drakengard operate on a different hierarchy from the rest of Kefrad and many members are granted special rights and privilege outside their typical station. A Drakengard knight might hold the same influence as a count or baron elsewhere in the kingdom. The Drakengard have outposts and stations throughout Kefrad but all members of the Drakengard when asked will tell you that home is Castle Drakengard. Considered the headquarters of the organization, Castle Drakengard is a fortress city situated in the middle of Holdrod's Wall.
Foreign Relations
Historically speaking Kefrad has had several conflicts with Tirdal, Baénland, Vahlrim, and the Kergrem Empire.
Baénland: The Kingdom of Kefrad has attempted to lay claim to the Isle of Baénland in the past but with mixed success. Twice Kefrad has conquered Baénland and twice the people have risen up within twenty years of their subjugation to reclaim their independence. There is currently peace between the two nations but their are firebrands in Baénland who still harbor a deep hatred for Kefrad.
The Kergrem Empire: The conflicts between the Kingdom of Kefrad and the Kergrem Empire go back for hundreds of years. The hobgoblins of the Kergrem Empire have sought to expand and claim Kefrad on multiple occasions resulting in the creation of Holdrod's Wall. The Drakengard have made it their primary goal to defend Kefrad from any hobgoblin invasion. The last war with the Kergrem Empire required a temporary alliance between Kefrad, Tirdal, Brekenrast, and Onydrim in order to push back the hobgoblin armies and stop their expansion. There were rumors in 56 TR that the Kergs were attempting to amass the resources to attempt another invasion. Whether or not the rumors were true, any plans the Kergs had for invasion were put to the wayside with surfacing of the orc hordes from the Bonnach Mountains. As it stands now there is an uneasy truce between the two nations.

Holdrod's Wall: Holdrod's Wall is roughly 100 miles long from North to South, 30 feet tall, and 20 feet thick. There are two large forts at the Northern end and Southern ends of the wall, smaller forts dot the wall every 10 miles with two towers between each of these smaller forts. Castle Drakengard has a garrison of roughly 2,000, 500 of these are drake riders. The rest are soldiers or support units. The city surrounding the castle has a population of roughly 9,000. The castle itself covers roughly 200,000 square meters.
