Alburias

The Alburias, the White Sea, is one of the Ornassi Mains, divisions of the Farther Waters made by mariners during the Fifth World. The Alburias is bounded by Talingarde to its north (though from Talirean orientation it is "north"), Perdita to its south, and Tetrathia to its east, and it becomes the Nacurias when it crosses over the Gloaming to the west. The Alburias is choked with floes and mountainous ice bergs, but is otherwise almost entirely clear of islands, being one of the widest and most desolate of the Mains. It is extremely dangerous to cross, and until the recent innovation of the Cazzeri kwalish most would not attempt to cross it at all. It is a breeding ground for leviathans, however, so whalers will sometimes risk it all the same.
