Infinite Abyss

The Infinite Abyss came before all other things. It is the primordial ocean of chaos from which everything else springs. Uskara's spheres can be conceived as floating within its depths. The Abyss is not an intrinsicly Evil place in the same way that the Pit is or even the Nine Hells are, but it has become twisted by the influence of that place nonetheless. There are places distant indeed within its waters that are mostly untouched by Evil, though that does not make them any more hospitable. Within the churning chaos are "bubbles" within which entire miniature worlds and existences may exist, propelled purely by the Will of the beings that inhabit them. This includes the personal domains of the demon princes, and other strange things as well. It is even possible to physically reach this plane, if one digs deep enough, and can channel through the great seas of magma that protect the Terrestrial Sphere from the consuming, encroaching chaos. There are even "natives" of the Abyss, kindred such as the slaadi who compete with demons for control.
