Lazurias

The Lazurias, the Azure Sea, is one of the Ornassi Mains, divisions of the Farther Waters made by mariners during the Fifth World. The Lazurias is split into the Upper Lazurias and the Lower Lazurias; the Upper Lazurias is found between the islands of Ornassus and Talingarde, while the Lower Lazurias is between Ornassus and the Gloaming. The Lazurias is a famously calm sea with crystalline blue waters that are brilliant in the sunlight. Despite this, traveling them has become more dangerous as of late, due to the Kraken Toll in the Upper Lazurias and the rise of the sahuagin in the Lower Lazurias. Even still, their influence on Ornassi culture is unmistakable, and much of the cultural conception of the ocean is tied up with the Lazurias.
