Sumeru
The Third Heaven Sumeru is not embodied as the others in a single planet, star, or moon. Instead, more solid (though still translcuent) crystalline sphere than the rest of the Firmament, which contains within it the Empyrean. Its Throne, which governs the Principle of Order, which marks the passage of time and the motion of the Heavens sprung the prime movement, is visible as a bright roiling nebula that appears like a "wound" in the Heavens, called the Burning Gate, or sometimes Amunon after the goddess who first created it and now resides within it. Emanating from its surface in both directions is the Starry Mantle, which warps space such that despite it being "inside" the Terrestrial Sphere, it is staggeringly more expansive.
Amunon's mystery cults do not teach that Sumeru is a place to achieve an eternal paradise in, but rather than the Burning Gate is a passage not only into the Empyrean but also Astral Space. Petitioners of Amunon seek to escape this reality and explore other ones, sailing the void in their dream vessels. However, the gate goes both ways. It was from the Burning Gate that many incursions into this world have come: the elves, the gith, the mercane, and others.
