Bejta is a brilliant engineer but has been overlooked for promotion time and time again. She is very quiet and reserved and doesn't let others know the work that she is doing so her peers often end up looking phenomenal while she ends up looking mediocre as she spends her time quietly assisting and improving the work of others. Based on our recomendation she has reached out to Cmdr. Major for mentorship in how to better showcase her talents and get noticed for promotions. It seems that in addition to mentoring, Bejta has developed romantic feelings towards Major. He is her supervisor so this would violate the Starfleet Code of Ethics and will need to be addressed if it continues to develop.

Biographical Overview

Bejta was born on the busy colony world of Arcturus in 2350. She showed early signs of being very gifted in engineering and excelled in her primary education. In 2368 she graduated and was accepted into Starfleet Academy where she again excelled graduating near the top of her class. Her specialty was in computer cores and she was assigned to Starbase 94 to help with a routine upgrade of the starbase's systems. What was supposed to be a six month assignment ended up lasting almost four years as a series of cascading disasters caused multiple delays to the project. The upgrade was finally finished in 2375 and she immediately requested exploration duty and was assigned to the USS Orpheus.
