Psychological Profile

Lecerf lives for the stars. He often talks about when he is stressed or upset he will find a nice quiet window to just watch the stars and that always seems to recenter his mind and calm his nerves. This passion makes him ideally placed in stellar cartography and by all accounts a pleasant crew member to work with. His only flaw seems to be a complete lack of interst in anything unrelated to mapping the stars and he has been reprimaned for neglecting assigned maintenance.
NOTE: Although they have just recently met, Lecerf seems to be developing a fast friendship with fellow cartographer Lt. Cardack.

Biographical Overview

Lecerf was born and raised on a border outpost where his parents had permanent residence, although they spent most of their time facilitating trade between the Federation and other governments. During his early childhood Lecerf joined his parents as they crossed back and forth between Federation and Romulan space as one of the few licensed traders authorized by the Romulans to conduct business across the border. In 2369 when the Cardassian Union withdrew from Bajor his parents were relocated to trade with the Cardassians and Lecerf spent a year watching the turmoil first hand that erupted when the Bajoran womrhole to the Gamma Quadrant was discovered.
Given his travels and upbringing it came as little surprise when he applied to Starfleet Academy to specialize in stellar cartography. He suceeded academically but in 2373 when the Dominion War broke out Starfleet learned that his family had many positive contacts among both the Romulans and Cardassians. When his parents weren't available he was often brought in to Starfleet Command to discuss avenues of diplomacy with both the Romulans and the Cardassians.
When he graduated in 2374 he indicated strong preference for deep space exploration and was assigned to the USS Orpheus as a stellar cartographer.
